VooPoo DRAG 3 Kit Review

The DRAG is one of the bestselling vape devices from VooPoo, so it is no surprise that the company continues to upgrade the device. The VooPoo DRAG 3 is the latest release in the series. Just like the DRAG MAX, the DRAG 3 has a maximum wattage output of 177W. It is portable, ergonomic, powerful, and comes with the new massive TPP tank. Let’s take a closer look at this device.

The VooPoo DRAG 3 is made of zinc alloy and it has a leather cover. The dimensions of the device are 138mm by 52mm by 25mm. The device has a lovely ergonomic design. It will easily fit in a grip. You’ll find ‘DRAG 3’ boldly written on the body of the device. There’s a firing button on one side along with a screen and two buttons for controlling the settings. Did I mention that the device comes with a Type-C USB cable for charging it? That guarantees super-fast charging.

On top of the DRAG 3 is a gold-plated, spring-loaded 510 connection where you can attach any 510 atomizer with a diameter of 25mm or less. This mod will fit any atomizer that is compatible with previous versions of the VooPoo DRAG.

The build quality of the DRAG 3 is not particularly exceptional. It feels sturdy, but there are some minor issues like the fact that the battery door feels like it may become problematic over time.

One of the most impressive things about this device is that although it is powerful, it is incredibly easy to use. Even if you’re a complete novice to vaping, you’ll be able to figure out how to use it easily.

The VooPoo DRAG 3 runs on dual 18650 batteries. The battery is enough to last an entire day. The wattage output of the device is 5W to 177W. The device comes with the GENE.FAN 2.0 chipset guarantees a consistent power output and intelligent functionality. This advanced chipset also gives the device a lot of safety features including overtime protection, short-circuit protection, overcharge protection, output over-current protection, over-discharge protection, over-temperature protection, battery reverse protection, and more.

When using the DRAG 3, you can either vape in Smart or RBA mode. In Smart mode, the device automatically detects the maximum wattage level of your coil and avoids exceeding it. On the other hand, in RBA mode, you can control the wattage output of the device. This VooPoo device doesn’t support temperature control. But you can download a firmware update to enable this feature.

The tank that comes with the VooPoo DRAG 3 is the new TPP. This 5.5Ml tank is compatible with other mods in the DRAG series. The TPP is essentially a pod that is magnetically attached to a magnetic 510 base. You can take off the top part of the pod and use other VooPoo DRAG pods with this device.

The coil heads that come with the new TPP tank are visibly larger than other coil heads in the DRAG series. There are two coils, a 0.15 ohm coil and a 0.20 ohm coil. Both coils work perfectly but I love the 0.15 ohm coil more.

The TPP supports adjustable airflow. You can switch out the drip tip that comes with the tank for any 810 drip tip.

The VooPoo DRAG 3 is one of the most innovative vape pod kits from this brand to date. It is designed to appeal to both beginners and seasoned vapers. The device is versatile and makes vaping more fun.

You can get the VooPoo DRAG 3 for only $59.59 at the Vape Juice Depot online store. This is a 26% discount on the original price of this device.
